Google Launches Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform and $750M Partner Fund at Cloud Next
Google unveiled the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform at Cloud Next 2026 in Las Vegas, a full-stack system for building, scaling, governing, and optimizing AI agents across the enterprise. The platform integrates more than 200 models including third-party options like Anthropic's Claude, a no-code agent builder for Workspace, a web-browsing agent called Project Mariner, managed MCP servers, and the production-grade Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol for cross-platform agent communication. Google also committed $750 million to a partner fund spanning its 120,000-member ecosystem, covering AI prototyping, agent deployment, upskilling, and embedded forward-deployed engineers. Nearly 75% of Google Cloud customers already use its AI products, with models now processing over 16 billion tokens per minute via direct API use. This is Google's clearest signal that it views agentic AI, not chatbots, as the real enterprise battleground.
