What is collected and why

Contact form. When you send a message, your name, email address and message are emailed to Snippets so your enquiry can be answered. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a possible contract, and legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.

Spam protection. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a human is sending it. Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping the form free of abuse.

Privacy-friendly statistics. Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without identifying individual visitors. Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding overall site usage.

Analytics cookies (only with your consent). Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used, such as clicks, scrolling and heatmaps, so the site can be improved. It sets cookies and runs only if you accept analytics cookies. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Hosting. The site is hosted by Vercel, whose servers process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the pages. Legal basis: legitimate interest in running a secure website.

Cookies

• snippets_cookie_consent (necessary): remembers your cookie choice for 6 months.
• _clck, _clsk and related Microsoft cookies (analytics, only with consent): used by Microsoft Clarity to recognise returning visits and group page views into sessions, kept for up to 1 year.

Who receives the data

• Vercel Inc. (hosting and cookieless statistics)
• Resend (delivery of contact form emails)
• Cloudflare, Inc. (Turnstile spam protection)
• Microsoft Corporation (Clarity analytics, only with consent)

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. If you contact Snippets through WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies to that conversation.

How long data is kept

Contact enquiries are kept as long as needed to handle your request and any business relationship that follows, and are then deleted unless the law requires keeping them longer. Clarity data is kept by Microsoft for up to 13 months.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of processing and a portable copy, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest.
